Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has apologised to the club's fans for their display in the 2-1 defeat to Sevilla and resultant elimination from the Champions League.
The Red Devils put in a sub-par performance in their last-16 second leg at Old Trafford as Wissam Ben Yedder's brace helped the La Liga side progress to the quarter-finals.
Bailly, who played the full 90 minutes on Tuesday night, is adamant that the squad will use the loss as motivation for the remainder of the season in both the Premier League and FA Cup.
"We ask the fans for forgiveness following our exit," the Ivorian posted on social media on Wednesday.
"Last night was terrible and we must all reflect and take note so it doesn't happen again. It's painful, but we have to get right back up, dust ourselves off, and look ahead."
Man United's next fixture is in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup against Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday.
