Manchester City prepare Nigel de Jong sale

Manchester City will reportedly be prepared to sell Nigel de Jong in the summer.

The 27-year-old midfielder turned down a new £100,000-per-week deal at the club at the start of the season, according to The Guardian.

The Blues will hope to sell the Dutchman before his contract expires in summer 2013.

De Jong joined City from Bundesliga side Hamburg in January 2009.
