Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero agrees a two-year contract with Barcelona, according to a report.

Sergio Aguero is reportedly closing in on a move to Barcelona, with the Argentine set to pen a two-year contract with the Catalan giants.

Manchester City's all-time leading goalscorer will be leaving the Etihad Stadium on a free transfer at the end of June, and Barca have been strongly linked with his services in recent months.

According to The Sun, the experienced forward has held positive talks with Ronald Koeman's side over a switch to Camp Nou and is nearing an agreement on a two-year deal.

The report claims that Aguero is likely to sign a £150,000-a-week deal with the La Liga giants, which is some way short of the £250,000 a week that he currently pockets at the Etihad Stadium.

Barca are struggling financially due to the coronavirus outbreak and could allegedly prioritise free transfers over big-money additions ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

Aguero, who could collect a £5m signing-on fee upon his arrival, has only scored four times in 18 appearances for the Premier League champions during the current season.
