Pep Guardiola says that he will remain at Manchester City beyond this season and will only leave the club if he is sacked.

Pep Guardiola has said that he will only leave Manchester City if he is sacked, despite the club's failure to compete for the Premier League this season.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager has been linked with a move away from City this summer, with the Citizens 16 points adrift of league leaders Liverpool.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Guardiola said: "I say many times, unless the club sack me, I'm going to stay 100%.

"For sure, 100% I'm going to stay here next season. Not because we won the last two games or playing better the last few months."

The Spaniard's side drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace on Saturday after conceding a last-minute equaliser courtesy of a Fernandinho own goal.

Guardiola has never stayed at any club for longer than four seasons, a milestone he is approaching this summer with City.
