Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola defends himself against claims made by Yaya Toure that he 'treats African players differently'.

Pep Guardiola has labelled Yaya Toure a 'liar' after the free agent midfielder accused the Manchester City manager of discrimination.

Toure made the comments in an interview with France Football earlier this week, claiming that his former boss at the Etihad Stadium treated African players differently.

Kevin De Bruyne defended Guardiola when probed on the issue and, after initially remaining quiet, the Catalan coach has also now moved to deny the accusations.

"They were lies and he knows it," he told TV3 in his homeland. "We were together for two years and he says it now - he never told me to my face."

Toure left Man City at the end of last season and is in line to join West Ham United in the coming days.
