Aleksandar Kolarov has claimed that Manchester City are capable of launching a fightback in the Premier League title race.
Manuel Pellegrini's side are currently fourth in the table, ten points adrift of leaders Leicester City after losing three games in a row.
This is not the first time that City have had to come from behind to seal the crown - in 2012 they won the title after falling eight points behind with six games left to play.
In 2014, Liverpool were favourites to win the league, but City sneaked in to snatch top spot in the closing stages of the season.
"Four years ago we always knew we could come back and this could be another great City season, but first we have to do more on the pitch and that is up to us," the Daily Mail quotes Kolarov as saying.
"I remember this game against Arsenal and when we won the second title there was a similar game against Liverpool that we lost 3-2, and especially I think this year, more than others, you see the other results as well have been very difficult to predict.
"It will be difficult because it isn't all in our hands, so we have to look at other games as well, but I think we have to try and start by winning on Saturday, make sure we win all our other games and then expect that all the other clubs drop points."
City will take on bottom-placed Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium this evening.
