Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Crystal Palace

Man City injury, suspension list vs. Crystal Palace

Manchester City will be looking to claim their third successive win in all competitions when they welcome Crystal Palace to the Etihad Stadium for a Premier League clash on Saturday afternoon.

The Citizens followed up last weekend's 2-1 victory at Luton Town with a 3-2 success over Red Star Belgrade in their final Champions League group-stage fixture on Wednesday, with academy duo Micah Hamilton and Oscar Bobb scoring their first senior goals before Kalvin Phillips netted his first for the club.

Pep Guardiola's side are now gearing up for their final Premier League match before turning their attention to the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia next week, and they will be keen to claim all three points against a struggling Eagles outfit as they endeavour to close the four-point gap to leaders Liverpool.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with Roy Hodgson's side.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Kevin De Bruyne has been sidelined since August with a hamstring injury and the playmaker is targeting a return to action at some stage in the New Year.

Erling Haaland

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Foot Possible return date: December 16 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Erling Haaland has missed the last two games with a "bone stress reaction" in his foot, but Guardiola stated earlier in the week that the striker is set to return to training on Thursday, giving him an outside chance of featuring in some capacity against Crystal Palace, albeit an unlikely one.

Jeremy Doku

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: December 16 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Jeremy Doku has missed the last three matches with a muscle problem and Guardiola said at the weekend that the winger may need "one week or two weeks" to recover, meaning that Saturday's game against Palace could come too soon for the Belgian.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

Manchester City have no suspended players for this match.
