Manchester City to table improved offer for Liverpool's Raheem Sterling?

Manchester City will reportedly table an improved offer for Liverpool star Raheem Sterling after the Reds rejected their initial £25m bid.

Manchester City are reportedly prepared to improve their bid for Liverpool star Raheem Sterling after they were knocked back in their first attempt.

On Thursday, reports emerged claiming that the Merseyside outfit had rejected a £25m bid plus £5m in add-ons from the former Premier League champions.

It has been widely reported that Sterling does not intend to sign a new deal at Anfield, but with the England international having two years remaining on his current contract, it is believed that Liverpool will only consider offers in the region of £50m.

According to the Daily Mail, City will put forward a second bid for Sterling, but they are not prepared to go close to Liverpool's valuation for the 20-year-old, who suffered a dip in form towards the end of the season.

Earlier this year, the youngster rejected the Reds' contract offer of £100,000 a week.
