Liverpool are reportedly keen on bringing Barcelona midfielder Gavi to Anfield.
The 17-year-old became Spain's youngest-ever player when he turned out for La Roja against Italy in the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday night.
Gavi has featured on seven occasions for Barcelona during the 2021-22 campaign, but the teenager's current deal at Camp Nou is due to expire in June 2023, meaning that his future is far from secure.
According to El Nacional, Liverpool are huge admirers of the Spaniard and are ready to explore the possibility of making a move during next summer's transfer window.
The report claims that Barcelona are desperately attempting to sign the youngster to a new deal, but the club's financial problems could harm their ability to keep hold of him.
Gavi, who is believed to have a €50m (£42.4m) release clause inserted into his current deal, has featured against Bayern Munich and Benfica in the Champions League this season.
