Liverpool 'beat Man United to teenage goalkeeper'

Liverpool have reportedly won the race to sign Legia Warsaw goalkeeper Jakub Ojrzynski.

The 16-year-old, who has represented Poland at both Under-15 and Under-16 level, was said to be a target for Manchester United, in addition to Valencia and Juventus.

However, according to the Liverpool Echo, the Merseyside giants have agreed a £200,000 deal for Ojrzynski, who will link up with Liverpool's under-18 squad upon his arrival in England.

The teenager is yet to represent Legia's first team but has turned out on 11 occasions for the under-19s.

Liverpool's first-team squad are currently in Marbella preparing for the Champions League final, which pits them against Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur on June 1.
