Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp brands rumours that Brazilian midfielder Fabinho could leave Anfield in January "completely crazy".

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has insisted that there is no chance of Fabinho leaving the club in January.

Fabinho only joined Liverpool from Ligue 1 outfit Monaco during the summer transfer window, with the midfielder costing the Reds in the region of £40m.

The 25-year-old has only made four Premier League appearances for Liverpool this season, and it has been reported that AC Milan are considering a January approach for the Brazilian.

However, Klopp has blasted such rumours, claiming that it would be "completely crazy" to sell Fabinho at this stage.

"He's settled, yes. He played three of the last four, no? He played, he did well. Now the most intense period of the year is coming up. He used the time to adjust to what we want, which was really good in the last games he played," Klopp told reporters.

"Of course he will not leave. I don't talk about transfers but if anybody asks then nobody leaves here. That would be completely crazy. He doesn't want to, it's just the crazy world out there where if a player doesn't play in the last five games, you open kind of a transfer market. We are not involved in that."

Liverpool resume Premier League action after the international break with a trip to Watford on Saturday afternoon.
