Daniel Agger misses Liverpool friendly to spark Manchester Cuty rumours

Liverpool have left defender Daniel Agger out of their friendly with Bayer Leverkusen this afternoon.

Agger's absence, from an otherwise strong Liverpool starting lineup, will spark rumours that a move to Manchester City could be closer to being agreed.

It has been reported in the past seven days that Manchester City have seen several bids rejected for the Danish international.

However, after a fee for Everton's Jack Rodwell was agreed earlier this morning, the Premier League champions could now step up their interest in Agger.
