Team News: Diogo Jota, Sadio Mane start for Liverpool, Luis Diaz on bench

Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane have both made the starting lineup for Liverpool's Premier League showdown with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, with Luis Diaz among the substitutes.

Jurgen Klopp faced plenty of selection dilemmas in the front three for Sunday's game, with Mohamed Salah never likely to be dropped despite his recent rough patch of form.

The Reds boss has elected to bring Jota back into the starting lineup alongside Mane and Salah, with Diaz and Roberto Firmino both forced to make do with places on the bench.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has rapidly recovered from his hamstring problem which initially put his place in this game in jeopardy, while Joel Matip makes an expected return in place of Ibrahima Konate.

Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara both retain their spots in the engine room, and Klopp has made the decision to demote Naby Keita to the bench as Jordan Henderson returns.

Meanwhile, the quartet of Divock Origi, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Harvey Elliott and Takumi Minamino have all been left out of the squad for Sunday's top-of-the-table clash.
