Rodgers: 'Liverpool's owners are great'

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that the support from the club's owners will be "excellent" when he decides to make his move in the transfer market.

Rodgers was hindered in his attempts to sign Clint Dempsey during the summer but with the potential of a big-money move for Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge to go through in the near future, Rodgers has revealed that he has "no complaints".

Rodgers told The Independent: "The owners have been great and I have no complaints in terms of where we are as a club at this time.

"The support the club will give us [for transfers] will be excellent."

Rodgers has negotiated the opening half of the season with Luis Suarez as the club's only recognised striker, after Andy Carroll was loaned to West Ham United and Fabio Borini suffered a broken foot.
