Remi Garde 'humiliated' by Aston Villa defeat

Aston Villa boss Remi Garde admits that he feels 'humiliated' by his side's 6-0 home defeat at the hands of Liverpool.

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde has admitted that he was left with a feeling of "humiliation" following his side's 6-0 loss at the hands of Liverpool this afternoon.

The Villans fell to their heaviest home defeat since 1935 as Liverpool struck four times in 13 second-half minutes to add to earlier goals from Daniel Sturridge and James Milner.

Garde refused to comment on his future after the match, but did reiterate his belief that Villa could still avoid relegation this season.

"I feel humiliation when you concede six goals at home without scoring. It's very painful. We don't have time to moan too much, we have to concentrate on the next game," he told reporters.

"I have a lot of feelings but I will keep some for myself. The first 15 minutes we were not too bad but we gave them the first goal. We have 12 games to go, there's still the possibility to win these games and we have to fight for it.

"I will find 11 or 18 players who still have the desire to win those games."

The defeat leaves Villa eight points from safety, rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.
