Sven-Goran Eriksson: 'I want to manage Liverpool'

Former England manager Sven Goran Eriksson reveals that he wants to manage Liverpool due to his love for the club.

Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has revealed that he wants to manage Liverpool due to his love for the club.

Eriksson famously managed the England national team between 2001 and 2006, and has since had spells with Manchester City, Mexico, Ivory Coast, Leicester City and Guangzhou R&F, Shanghai SIPG and Shenzhen FC.

The 69-year-old is currently without a job after his latest spell in China, but has claimed that he wants another crack at English football.

"I would love to manage Liverpool. I'm an old, old Liverpool fan. I always have been, as has my father," the Liverpool Echo quotes Eriksson as saying.

Eriksson replaced Clarence Seedorf as head coach of Shenzhen FC last December, but was sacked just six months later following a nine-game winless run.
