Liverpool's Mamadou Sakho fit for Watford clash

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reveals that Mamadou Sakho is in line to make his return from injury during Sunday's Premier League clash with Watford.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Mamadou Sakho is fit to play when the Reds take on Watford at Vicarage Road on Sunday.

Sakho has missed Liverpool's last seven games in all competitions having damaged his ligaments in the 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace last month.

However, the centre-back returned to full training earlier this week and is now in line to return straight into the starting XI, with Dejan Lovren ruled out with a knee injury of his own.

"Mamadou has trained completely normal," Klopp is quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo.

"It is a good situation. He started normal training last week and now he has completed this week. If it stays like this he will be ready.

"Now he's had many weeks out, everything is different, but when we all work together as a team it is easier for the centre-halves to play a normal game. We want Mamadou's quality and his strength but the team has to help him too."

Liverpool have not won any of their last three games in all competitions and sit ninth in the Premier League table, five points adrift of the Champions League places.
