Liverpool duo Jordan Henderson, Daniel Sturridge miss West Ham United trip

Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson will both sit out Liverpool's first match of 2016 at West Ham United after reportedly not travelling to London.

Liverpool duo Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge have been ruled out of tomorrow's Premier League match against West Ham United, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Both England internationals are said to not have travelled with the rest of the team down to London for the lunchtime kickoff at the Boleyn Ground.

Recent reports suggested that striker Sturridge would be fit to return in the Reds' first game of the New Year after five matches out, but it seems that Jurgen Klopp has deemed him not ready just yet.

With Sturridge out and Divock Origi sidelined for around three weeks, Christian Benteke should again lead the line having scored the only goal of the game in Liverpool's last two matches.

Henderson, meanwhile, started against his former club Sunderland in midweek but had to be substituted in the second half due to a persistent heel problem.
