Inverness suspend Dani Lopez following an "incident" in U20s game

Inverness striker Dani Lopez is suspended by the Scottish club "until further notice" following an "incident" during an Under-20s game on Tuesday.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle have suspended striker Dani Lopez following an "incident" that occurred during an Under-20s game on Tuesday evening.

The 30-year-old scored the only goal of the development side's win over St Johnstone, and was later sent off.

The Scottish Premiership club have announced that Lopez will be suspended while their investigation is ongoing.

A statement from Inverness read: "Following an incident during last night's Under-20s game versus St Johnstone at the stadium we can confirm that player Dani Lopez, who was dismissed from the field of play, has been suspended by the club until further notice pending a full investigation.

"The club will be making no further comment on last night's incident until this investigation is concluded."

The Spaniard signed for the club in the summer on a one-year deal.
