James Chester expected to miss FA Cup final

Hull City boss Steve Bruce suggests that James Chester is likely to miss the FA Cup final later this month with a hamstring problem.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has suggested that James Chester is likely to miss this month's FA Cup final against Arsenal through injury.

The defender was forced off during Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Aston Villa in the Premier League with what appeared to be a recurrence of the hamstring problem that kept him out for 11 weeks earlier this season.

"The earliest reports on James look as if the hamstring that he's come off with, he's re-injured it. It looks bleak for the lad," Bruce is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"We can't say until we scan him and know the extent but it doesn't look very good for him."

Hull take on Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium on May 17.
