Hartlepool United manager Colin Cooper has admitted that he wants to add quality, not quantity to his squad.
The League Two side have signed Jack Compton and Nialle Rodney so far this summer, along with Middlesbrough defender Christian Burgess on loan.
However, Cooper has said that he is looking to improve the team.
"I'm being picky, I want players that make us better," Cooper told BBC Tees.
"Every manager wants their squad in place for the start of the season, but we have the best part of two weeks to get people in."
Meanwhile, defender Peter Hartley has completed a move to League One outfit Stevenage.
