Report: Everton looking to sign Angelo Ogbonna from Juventus

Everton are reportedly hoping to sign Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna.

The 27-year-old has struggled to secure first-team football at the Serie A giants and is expected to leave them this summer.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is said to be keen to bolster his defensive options following the release of Sylvain Distin and Antolin Alcaraz and has identified Ogbonna as his main transfer target, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Phil Jagielka and John Stones are currently the only senior centre-backs that the Toffees have on the books.

Ogbonna joined Juventus from Torino in 2013.
