Guizhou Renhe deny Tim Cahill move

Chinese outfit Guizhou Renhe have denied speculation that Everton midfielder Tim Cahill could join the club.

The 33-year-old attended Guizhou's Chinese FA Cup match on Wednesday as a special guest, but club boss Gao Hongbo has quelled suggestions of a move.

"We did have negotiations with Tim Cahill but we couldn't reach an agreement with him," he told reporters.

"There were a couple of issues so we invited him to the club. We hope he enjoys his time here and that he will look favourably at our club."

Cahill joined Everton from Millwall in 2004.
