Everton accept Leicester's Beckford bid

Everton have accepted a £4m-plus bid from Leicester City for striker Jermaine Beckford, according to BBC Radio Leicester.

The Toffees had rejected a bid from the Championship side earlier this month for the player.

The Foxes have been looking for a striker over the summer after failed bids for Bristol City's Nicky Maynard and Reading's Shane Long.

The 27-year-old joined the Merseysiders from Leeds United in May 2010.
