Report: Samuel Eto'o in talks to join Sampdoria

Everton striker Samuel Eto'o is in talks with Sampdoria over a move to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, according to reports.

The Cameroonian has scored four goals in 20 appearances for the Toffees this season and is a popular figure at Goodison Park.

According to The Daily Mail, Eto'o has been offered a £1.7m-a-year 18-month contract, plus bonuses, by Sampdoria sporting director Carlo Osti.

West Ham United are also said to be interested in the 33-year-old former Chelsea and Barcelona forward.
