Manchester United, Bayern Munich target Leighton Baines?

Manchester United and Bayern Munich will reportedly battle for the signature of Everton defender Leighton Baines at the end of the season.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has targeted the 27-year-old as a replacement for Patrice Evra, according to The Mirror.

Bayern are also interested, but the England international still has three years remaining on his current contract so Everton face no immediate pressure to move the defender on.

It is understood that the Toffees will not entertain offers of less than £15m.
