Everton boss Sam Allardyce reveals that Republic of Ireland captain Seamus Coleman is back in training, 10 months after breaking his leg against Wales.

Everton manager Sam Allardyce has revealed that Seamus Coleman is back in training.

The Republic of Ireland captain has been on the sidelines since suffering a leg break in last March's World Cup stalemate with Wales.

A tackle from Dragons defender Neil Taylor saw Coleman ruled out for the last 10 months but, according to Allardyce, the 29-year-old is on the mend, though no timescale has been given for the right-back's return.

"Seamus Coleman is due back," the 63-year-old told the Everton general meeting in Liverpool on Tuesday night. "He has started training."

Coleman has made over 200 appearances for Everton since joining from Irish side Sligo Rovers in 2009.
