How Everton could line up against Manchester City

How Everton could line up against Man City

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti will be without his two first-choice goalkeepers for Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final with Manchester City.

Jordan Pickford has definitely been ruled out until after the international break, while Robin Olsen did not shake off an abdominal problem in time to face Burnley, and he has not been cleared to play this weekend either.

As a result, Joao Virginia is ready to deputise against a quadruple-chasing Man City, and the last line of defence is not the only area where Ancelotti has some injury concerns to work around.

Indeed, James Rodriguez, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Fabian Delph remain injured for the hosts, as does Jean-Philippe Gbamin, so Ancelotti's midfield trio of Allan, Andre Gomes and Tom Davies should remain unchanged.

There could be an alteration further up the field, though, as Gylfi Sigurdsson is in line to start in the number 10 role ahead of Alex Iwobi, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison aspire to break down a sometimes impenetrable City defence.

Seamus Coleman is another player that Ancelotti could call upon, but Ben Godfrey should reprise his role at right-back, while Yerry Mina's reintroduction to the defence over Mason Holgate could complete a number of changes from their dampening home defeat to Burnley.

Everton possible starting lineup: Olsen; Godfrey, Mina, Keane, Digne; Allan, Davies, Gomes; Sigurdsson; Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin
