Danny Butterfield agrees Exeter City move

Exeter City have agreed a deal to sign right-back Danny Butterfield on a free transfer.

The 33-year-old, who left Carlisle United earlier this month following a very brief spell in Cumbria, will complete his move to St James' Park once he has undergone a medical.

Butterfield will add experience to the Grecians' defence, having made over 400 Football League appearances during spells with six clubs, including Southampton, Charlton, Crystal Palace and Grimsby Town.

He is likely to make his debut in next weekend's trip to Fleetwood Town.
