Jose Carlos joins Cordoba

Cordoba have completed the signing of former Rayo Vallecano winger Jose Carlos on a one-year deal.

The Spaniard, who left Rayo at the end of last season, had reportedly been close to joining Deportivo La Coruna at the end of last month, but a move broke down following a failed medical.

Carlos had no such problems during his procedure with Cordoba, however, who have signed the 26-year-old midfielder on a one-year contract.

Cordoba, who were promoted via the Segunda Division playoffs last season, have now added five new players to their first-team squad this summer.
