Joey Barton believes that John Terry will be charged for alleged racist comments during a match last month.

Queens Park Rangers captain Joey Barton has said that he expects the Football Association to find John Terry guilty of racism.

The Chelsea captain is currently under investigation by the FA and the Metropolitan Police over remarks he allegedly made towards QPR defender Anton Ferdinand during a match last month.

On Wednesday, the FA charged Liverpool's Luis Suarez with a racist offence from another game, and Barton believes that Terry must be similarly charged.

"If they have charged Luis Suarez, then its inevitable that John Terry, also has to be charged," Barton wrote on Twitter. "This could be precedent setting for the game!

"Its sad that, although am not suggesting either are guilty until proven, the FA even has to deal with this in 2011."

Barton will be expected to feature when Rangers travel to Stoke City in the Premier League on Saturday.
