Villas-Boas still receiving Chelsea wages?

Andre Villas-Boas is reportedly still being paid £100,000 per week by Chelsea, but stands to lose that income if he becomes the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur.

Andre Villas-Boas will reportedly take a significant financial hit if becomes the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The 34-year-old, who was sacked by Chelsea in March, is the big odds-on favourite to replace Harry Redknapp at White Hart Lane.

According to The Sun, Villas-Boas did not receive a lump sum compensation package when he was dismissed by Blues owner Roman Abramovich.

The newspaper claims that the Russian instead agreed to continue paying his former manager his £100,000-per-week wage until July 2014 or he become employed elsewhere.

Therefore, if Villas-Boas were to take charge of Spurs next week he would miss out on 25 months of pay from Chelsea, worth £10.8m.
