Hellas Verona salvage draw at struggling Cesena

Juanito scored a late equaliser to earn Hellas Verona a point at struggling Cesena in this evening's Serie A match at the Stadio Dino Manuzzi.

Cesena, who are now without a win in nine league games, took the lead in the 22nd minute when Hugo Almeida nodded down into the path of Gregoire Defrel, who worked the ball onto his left foot before firing into the bottom corner.

Verona came close to an equaliser on the half-hour mark when Nene's header flew just past the post.

The visitors were having more of the attempts on goal and they drew level with 13 minutes left when Juanito looped Panagiotis Tachtsidis's over Cesena goalkeeper Federico Agliardi into the far corner from a tight angle.

A point sees Verona go 11th in the table, while Cesena stay in the bottom three.
