David Luiz says that Brazil will still win the 2014 World Cup despite losing to England on Wednesday.

Brazil defender David Luiz is certain that his side will win the 2014 World Cup in their own country, despite losing to England on Wednesday.

Before the match, compatriot Neymar dismissed the Three Lions' chances of winning the tournament before guaranteeing that the South Americans would claim it.

However, even after losing to England 2-1 at Wembley, Luiz still backs his teammate's comments.

"I want to win the World Cup next year and I know Brazil. We will win," Luiz told FIFA.com.

"[This] was a great night against a big team but we are not happy with the result. We need to take the positives out of every game."

Luiz is likely to be back in club action when Chelsea host Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
