Ramires aims to halt Wayne Rooney in "good duel"

Ramires expects Rooney "duel"

Brazil midfielder Ramires has insisted that he will try to stop Wayne Rooney in tomorrow night's international friendly against England.

The Chelsea player will face his Manchester United opponent at Wembley in what he expects to be a close contest.

"Rooney is a key part of the England team and will be very difficult for us to stop," the Daily Star quotes Ramires as saying. "I expect a good duel with him.

"But England are dangerous from all areas because the Premier League is the best league in the world and has many stars. This is not just a friendly for us."

Meanwhile, Ramires's club teammate Ashley Cole will receive his 100th cap for the Three Lions tomorrow.
