Derby County, Blackburn Rovers play out goalless draw

Derby County have been held to a goalless draw by Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.

Blackburn started strongly and Corry Evans's shot was blocked before Chris Taylor twice missed the target in the opening 10 minutes.

Chris Martin came close for Derby in the 28th minute but his volley from Johnny Russell's cross went wide of the right post.

Markus Olsson tested Scott Carson two minutes later but his shot from a tight angle was saved before Tom Ince was denied by Jason Steele shortly after.

Carson was called into action shortly after the restart when his diving save kept out Tom Lawrence's shot.

John O'Sullivan and Ben Marshall failed to make the breakthrough for Blackburn in the closing stages as the match finished goalless.
