John Stones has admitted that he dreams of playing for a Premier League club in the future.
The Barnsley defender is understood to be the target of a number of top-flight clubs during the current transfer window.
The 18-year-old told the Sheffield Star: "I'd love to play in the Premier League one day, every player dreams about doing that. The Premier League is regarded as the best league in the world, so it would be amazing if I got the chance to play there one day.
"I don't know what's going to happen, but if a Premier League club did come in for me then it would be a very big decision for me. I'm still very young and I'd have to consider a lot of things, but right now I want to stay at Barnsley. I've signed a deal until 2015 and I'm happy.
"It's very flattering that some Premier League clubs have shown an interest in me, but right now all I want to do is concentrate on playing for Barnsley."
Wigan, Everton and Chelsea have all been linked to a move for the teenager in recent months.
The England Under-19s player has 23 appearances for the Championship side this season.
