Tom Kennedy extends deal at Barnsley

Barnsley defender Tom Kennedy has signed a new contract that will see him remain at the Championship club until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old joined the Tykes in September on a deal until January after leaving Leicester City.

After making seven appearances for the Yorkshire side, Kennedy has now opted to extend his stay at Oakwell for the remainder of the 2012-13 season.

Barnsley are currently in 23rd place in the Championship table.
