Barnsley 0-1 Cardiff City

Liam Lawrence scored the only goal of the game as Cardiff City kept up their push for a play-off place this afternoon.

Following an opening 45 minutes without a goal, loanee winger Lawrence broke the deadlock. Andrew Taylor was the creator, crossing for Lawrence who headed into the net.

The visiting Blues continued to dominate after taking the lead, but they were unable to add a second against the Tykes.

The loss has left Barnsley two places above the relegation zone.
