Barcelona vs. Alaves: Predicted XI for El Glorioso in La Liga contest

Kike Garcia bidding to move into double figures: How Alaves could line up against Barcelona

Kike Garcia will be aiming to move into double figures in terms of La Liga goals this season when Alaves head to Barcelona on Sunday.

The 35-year-old has been in impressive form for his Basque club during the 2024-25 campaign, finding the back of the net on nine occasions in 20 La Liga matches, and he will be looking to continue his strong form against Hansi Flick's side.

Antonio Blanco is available again for the Blue and Whites after serving a suspension, but Antonio Sivera remains in the treatment room with a hand injury, while Abdel Abqar is banned due to his yellow card against Celta Vigo last time out.

Santiago Mourino could be the player to benefit, with the 22-year-old possibly replacing Abqar, but Alaves might otherwise be unchanged from the side that took to the field for the first whistle of the 1-1 draw with Celta on Monday night.

Head coach Eduardo Coudet does have a number of options for change in the forward areas, with Asier Villalibre and Toni Martinez both available, but it is likely that the pair will again be among the substitutes for the first whistle.

Carlos Martin, meanwhile, is expected to miss out to Tomas Conechny when it comes to the starting role down the left for the relegation-threatened outfit.

Alaves possible starting lineup: Owono; Tenaglia, Mourino, Diarra, M Sanchez; Guevara, Benavidez; Vicente, Guridi, Conechny; Kike Garcia
