Gerard Pique has been left out of the Barcelona squad for Tuesday's La Liga clash with Celta Vigo.

The Spanish international, who played the full 90 minutes in the 2-1 win over Real Madrid at the weekend, has been rested after suffering a slight hamstring problem in training.

His absence is expected to allow club captain Carlos Puyol to come into defence alongside Javier Mascherano, but left-back Jordi Alba remains on the sidelines.

Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino is also expected to make changes in attack, with Pedro and Alexis Sanchez both hopeful of recalls to the starting XI.
