Barcelona injury, suspension list vs. Athletic Bilbao

Barcelona injury, suspension list vs. Athletic Bilbao

Barcelona will be looking to return to winning ways in Spain's top flight when they welcome Athletic Bilbao to Camp Nou on Tuesday evening.

The Spanish champions saw their run of three straight La Liga victories ended by Sevilla on Friday night as they were held to a goalless draw at the Estadio Ramon.

Barca are still top of the table on 65 points, although second-placed Real Madrid are just three points behind with a game in hand, which comes against Real Sociedad on Sunday night.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barca's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Athletic, who recorded a 1-0 win in the reverse match earlier this season.

Ousmane Dembele

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Dembele has struggled with injuries throughout the season, making just five La Liga appearances and nine in all competitions. The Frenchman has been out since the end of November with his latest hamstring issue, and he will not be able to return for the Spanish champions until next season.

Sergi Roberto

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Rib Possible return date: June 23 (vs. Athletic)

Roberto missed out against Sevilla on Friday night due to a rib injury, but the right-back is still undertaking individual sessions and could be available for the clash with Athletic.

Frenkie de Jong

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: June 23 (vs. Athletic)

Like Roberto, De Jong also missed out against Sevilla, with the Netherlands international struggling to shake off a calf issue. The injury is not believed to be serious, though, and the midfielder has a chance of returning for his side's next game at Camp Nou.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barca have no suspension issues ahead of Tuesday's clash at Camp Nou.
