Sports Mole looks at Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of their La Liga clash with Athletic Bilbao.

La Liga champions Barcelona will conclude their 2024-25 campaign with a clash against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday night.

Hansi Flick's side have won three trophies this season, also triumphing in the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup, and they will be bidding to end a very successful campaign on a positive note this weekend.

The Catalan giants will enter this match off the back of a defeat, though, having suffered a 3-2 loss to Villarreal last time out.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with fourth-placed Athletic, who have qualified for the league phase of next season's Champions League.

Bernal suffered an ACL injury against Rayo Vallecano in the league earlier this term, with the youngster working to be ready for pre-season ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.


Jules Kounde

Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Kounde was forced off the field with a hamstring injury during the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Inter Milan, and the France international is working to be ready for the start of pre-season.


Ferran Torres

Type of injury: Appendicitis
Possible return date: Unknown

Last week, Barcelona revealed that Torres had undergone an operation after suffering with appendicitis, and the Spain international will therefore again miss out on Sunday.


Ronald Araujo

Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: May 25 (vs. Athletic)

Araujo was forced off in the early stages of the second period against Espanyol on May 15 with a muscular problem, and the centre-back remains a major doubt for Barcelona this weekend.
