Unai Emery will reportedly focus on trimming the size of his Arsenal squad in the next few weeks, with Danny Welbeck and David Ospina among those likely to leave.

Danny Welbeck and David Ospina will reportedly be the highest-profile casualties of Arsenal's summer overhaul under new boss Unai Emery.

The Gunners have focused on bringing in new players over the past few weeks, splashing out £70m to recruit Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lucas Torreira, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Matteo Guendouzi.

Attention will now turn to cropping down the number of squad players, however, and The Telegraph suggests that forward Welbeck and third-choice keeper Ospina are among those expected to make way.

Neither player fits into Emery's initial plans, it is claimed, while Lucas Perez, Carl Jenkinson, Chuba Akpom and Joel Campbell could also make way to generate funds.

Welbeck is into the final year of his Emirates Stadium contract, while Ospina - now behind Leno and Petr Cech in the goalkeeping pecking order - is under contract until 2020.
