Liverpool are reportedly ready to do battle with Arsenal for the signature of Wolfsburg attacker Josip Brekalo.
The 22-year-old has featured from the first whistle 20 times in the Bundesliga this season, scoring four goals and assisting three more as Wolfsburg push for a Champions League place.
Arsenal were linked with a swoop for Brekalo when he plied his trade at Dinamo Zagreb as a teenager, and the Gunners are thought to be keeping a close eye on his progress at Wolfsburg.
However, Calciomercato now claims that Liverpool are also in the race for Brekalo's signature, with Jurgen Klopp keen to reshuffle his attacking contingent.
The Croatia international still has two years left to run on his Wolfsburg contract, though, and he may have a better chance of playing Champions League football with the third-placed Bundesliga side than at Liverpool or Arsenal next season.
AC Milan, Roma and Atletico Madrid are all said to be monitoring the situation as well.
