Arsenal boss Unai Emery 'gives green light for Yannick Carrasco chase'

Emery 'gives green light for Carrasco move'

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has reportedly given the green light for the Gunners to try to sign Dalian Yifang winger Yannick Carrasco.

The North London outfit are looking to strengthen their squad during the January window, with the priority being the addition of a new centre-back.

However, the club have also been linked with a number of creative players, with Barcelona's Denis Suarez said to be on their radar, but Foot Mercato claims that Emery is also happy for Carrasco to arrive at the Emirates Stadium.

The 25-year-old left Atletico Madrid for the Chinese Super League less than a year ago, with the Belgium international contributing seven goals and five assists from 25 appearances.

Arsenal are keen to bring the wideman back to Europe, although Yifang are said to be ready to reject any offers which come their way during the first month of 2019.

Carrasco has a contract at Yifang until the end of 2021.
