Report: Chelsea enter race to sign Monaco star Thomas Lemar

Chelsea reportedly join the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid in the race to sign Monaco winger Thomas Lemar this summer.

Chelsea have reportedly entered the race to sign Monaco winger Thomas Lemar this summer.

The 22-year-old has been one of the most highly-coveted players in European football over the last 18 months thanks to his exploits in helping Monaco win the Ligue 1 title in 2016-17 and reach the Champions League semi-finals.

Lemar was strongly linked with a move away from the principality club last summer and again in January, but ultimately stayed put as the Monegasques finished second in 2017-18 behind Paris Saint-Germain.

According to French outlet L'Equipe, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are now possible destinations for Lemar, while Arsenal and Liverpool could once again look to sign the highly-rated winger.

Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are also believed to be in the running for the France international.
