Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Leicester City

Arsenal injury, suspension list vs. Leicester City

Arsenal can re-establish a five point lead at the top of the Premier League table when they travel to Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners regained top spot from Manchester City courtesy of a stunning 4-2 win over Aston Villa last weekend, before the champions dropped points in a 1-1 draw away to Nottingham Forest.

Mikel Arteta's team sit two points clear of Man City with a game in hand, and they can extend that lead for at least a couple of hours before the holders meet Bournemouth later on Saturday evening.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with the Foxes, who sit 14th in the table.

Thomas Partey

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: February 25 (vs. Leicester City)

Thomas Partey once again missed out against Aston Villa last weekend due to a thigh problem, and while he is hoping to return for Saturday's game, Arsenal will not rush his recovery while Jorginho continues to deputise impressively.

Gabriel Jesus

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: March 4 (vs. Bournemouth)

Gabriel Jesus is inching closer to a recovery from knee surgery, but he is yet to rejoin his teammates for training and will take at least another couple of weeks to get up to speed.

Mohamed Elneny

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Mohamed Elneny, who has just signed a new one-year contract at the Emirates, remains out after undergoing knee surgery and will likely miss the remainder of the campaign.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this game.
