Team News: Arsenal unchanged against Swansea City

Arsene Wenger names an unchanged lineup as Arsenal welcome Swansea City.

Arsene Wenger has named an unchanged lineup as Arsenal welcome Swansea City to the Emirates this afternoon.

The Frenchman made 11 changes for the EFL Cup victory over Norwich City on Tuesday night but reverts to the same starting XI that delivered an impressive 5-2 victory at Everton in the league last weekend.

That sees Alexandre Lacazette lead the line, with attacking support from Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez. Hector Bellerin and Sead Kolasinac operate on either wing, with Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka playing in the middle.

The back three of Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker and Nacho Monreal are unchanged, while Petr Cech is between the sticks.

Shkodran Mustafi is back in full training after overcoming a hamstring injury but is not in today's matchday squad, while there is also no place for 18-year-old Eddie Nketiah, who bagged both goals against the Canaries.

Options on the bench include Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud and Jack Wilshere.

For the visiting Swans, Paul Clement makes four changes following the 2-1 defeat to Leicester City last Saturday and switches to an expected 4-4-2 formation.

Martin Olsson suffered a hamstring injury in the EFL Cup defeat to Manchester United in midweek and is consequently absent from the matchday squad today, with Mike van der Hoorn coming into the back four alongside Kyle Naughton, Alfie Mawson and Federico Fernandez.

Renato Sanches also suffered injury against the Red Devils and drops out today, while Leon Britton and Luciano Narsingh also miss out as Sam Clucas, Ki Sung-yeung and Leroy Fer join Tom Carroll in the middle of the park.

Jordan Ayew and Tammy Abraham are paired up front, while Lukasz Fabianski is in goal.

Arsenal: Cech; Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal; Bellerin, Ramsey, Xhaka, Kolasinac; Ozil, Sanchez; Lacazette
Subs: Macey, Holding, Coquelin, Wilshere, Iwobi, Walcott, Giroud

Swansea City: Fabianksi; Naughton, Van der Hoorn, Fernandez, Mawson; Clucas, Ki, Fer, Carroll; Ayew, Abraham
