Arsenal target midfielder Javi Garcia

Arsenal are believed to be keeping tabs on Benfica midfielder Javi Garcia.

The 24-year-old, who used to play for Spanish giants Real Madrid, may attract a bid from the Gunners in January, according to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser.

The Spaniard, who moved to Benfica from the Bernabeu in 2009, will run out his current contract with the Portuguese side in 2014.

Premier League champions Manchester United and Italian outfit AC Milan are also thought to be interested in the midfielder.
